At first I thought it was a guy watching the last piece of world sinking into the ocean, but judging by the water coming from the roof, you actually meant to depict the opposite.

I still like it mind.

Again, just wonderful (literally). This work would have been at home with some of the best "surreal, post-apocalyptic" posters/prints of the 1970s. Of course, one might argue that this is an example of anti-apocalyptic creation ... Is the city being raised from the depths, or created perhaps ... that is the feeling I get from it.

I love how this is so detailed, but there is still a somewhat blurry quality that makes it more surreal. The message is just amazing, and the man's pose highlights it. Amazing job!

I'd like to know what this guy's story is, whether he's creating this or watching it.
I wish he'd help the fishes back into the water though

I think he's creating it. But that's just my interpretation of it... I could be wrong. The fish, I expect, are the necessary casualties of progress.

Maybe this is one of those left brain/right brain things, but I see the city rising up out of the waters, not crashing down into them. As it comes up, it's uprooting nature...and the man in the power suit is ready to take his place in the new order.
What I'm not sure of is if he's imposing his order on nature or, well, something else.

That's a really good observation. I thought it was crashing down at first 'cause I was observing the trees falling down from the top of that building, when in fact, the buildings are rising out from under that small island, and picking up a patch of land (the trees with it)... if that makes sense. The uprooting nature seems like a gradual and drastic process. The man does look like he's concentrating as if using some powers of telekinesis. lol

Is apocalypse so bad if it means we have the chance to make the world anew?

Very interesting. The character seems complete watching what is in front of him. It's a reflection on what our society as driven itself into.

Impressive work, man. Somehow I don't feel like the man on that canvas is even fearful or panicked...perhaps he's been waiting for this?
